Kindergarten

(PS-GS)

A perfect bilingual rotation

From Preschool to Kindergarten, English is part of our daily routine. The children in Petite Section spend one full day with a French-speaking team and the next day with an English-speaking team, and so on. It may take time to adapt at first, but eventually the children become accustomed to the language through mimicry and habit. The teaching staff is very supportive of this adaptation process and regularly informs the parents of the children's progress.

Discovery of the world of reading

From the Grande Section onwards, children have the opportunity to learn to read, starting with vowel recognition. We offer activities and phonetic methods that have long been proven effective: the Boscher method for reading in French and the Jolly Phonics method for English

Kindergarten, a year of synthesis

In Grande Section, the children spend a full day alternating with an English-speaking teacher and then with a French-speaking teacher. This is the class that marks the end of the kindergarten cycle and prepares the children for elementary school. They are evaluated twice:

- The end-of-cycle kindergarten assessment of the Malian program

- End-of-cycle evaluation of the international program (bilingual)
